By implementing this project we want to create independence in single mothers, people with disabilities, people living in extreme poverty, young people who have graduated from school and have predispositions, talents and potential to start independent business with a little help and earn a living or support their family.
We want to support the poorest by organizing short-term trainings/workshops. This form of assistance is addressed mainly to people who have never been to school or have ended their education at a very early level, without even having a chance to obtain basic education. In Kenya, many such people, especially
women, cannot count on any help.
We also meet talented people who have a profession, but poverty or life difficulties do not allow them to take up professional work.Through the implementation of this project, we want specific people to be able to start an independent life.
This assistance is very individualized and is always preceded by an analysis of the situation of each person or family.
This form of help may include, for example, the purchase of the necessary equipment, renovation of the room, but also psychological support. The Foundation's beneficiaries need inspiration for a better life, faith in themselves and their abilities.
We believe that in this way these people will fulfill their dreams, spread their wings and thanks to this they will be happier, feel more valuable and independent.
Fidel's mother came to us in April 2023. She was then in a crisis situation and did not know how to get out of it. She brought her sick son, four-year-old Fidel, on her back, who immediately charmed everyone. But this is the story of his mother - a heroic 35-year-old who is raising three children after her husband left her. He is refusing to recognize his son, who was born with cerebral palsy.
For several years, Fidel's mother was able to provide for the family on her own, working in the fields with a baby on her back and earning money to pay for the schooling of her two daughters and Fidel's trips to the hospital for rehabilitation.
However, the situation changed drastically, because in Kenya there was a long drought and then she lost any possibility of getting money for school, renting a room and even for food.
The woman was left alone on the pavement with her three children, but by God's Providence she was taken in by good people who lent her one room. It was a kitchen that was empty except for a broken mattress, a small plastic table, a few empty old pots and a broken chair.
There is no electricity or water, but she is happy to have a roof over her head for her children.
We decided to help.
After her first visit to Upendo, Fidel's mom started helping with the garden and housework. Every Saturday she received food for the family, and in the meantime also blankets, pillows and mattresses.
However, we wanted to help her in such a way that she could slowly live independently, earning her own work to meet the needs of the family.
We investigated the situation with the Stahili Foundation, which operates in Kenya, and conducted an interview and developed a plan together.
Fidel's mother is a hairdresser by profession and has some years of practice, but due to the birth of a disabled son, she could not work in the profession. We asked her to prepare a business plan for opening a hair salon. She found a small place that needed renovation and made a list of the most necessary items for the salon.
We wanted her dream to come true, because if she is smiling and strong and earns money, the situation of the whole family will be better. We want to make her INDEPENDENT and give her hope for a better future.
We will also continue to support her children, especially Fidel, who requires a detailed diagnosis and continuous rehabilitation.
This is a brief story of a wonderful woman who is now a person with a completely different attitude, with hope in her heart. She has a beaming smile on her face, sparkling eyes and plans that she wants to implement...
We hope that as the Mission of Love Foundation we will support this new life, so we invite everyone to cooperate so that the lives of many more families can change for the better!!!
This is our motivation that can make the lives of specific people whom God's Providence entrusts to us to change their track and direction and that people we help can stand on their own feet and glorify God with their work, love, care and everyday life.

INITIATIVE 2
KNITTING MACHINE FOR SARA
Sara is a beneficiary of the Mission of Love Foundation and a pupil of the UPENDO Children's Home in Kenya, who graduated from a special vocational school in April 2023. During her course, she learned how to operate a knitting machine. Sara liked this activity very much.
She is also prepared for work. However, to start her own business, she needs a knitting machine, which she has been dreaming about since finishing school.
Just think about it, Sarah's life can really change, also thanks to you!
With the kind help of others, Sara could soon start earning money.
And we just want to help her with this.
The first stage will be the purchase of a knitting machine.
The second is to train the person who takes care of Sara so that she can help her.
HELENKA – BAKER/CONFECTIONER
Helenka is a single mother. She lost her job during the pandemic. She was working in a hotel at the time, and the decline in interest in tourism at that time directly contributed to her job loss. She returned to the countryside. She dabbled in various activities. Mainly work in the field, which, however, due to several years of drought, does not bring the expected profits today. As a consequence, this 35-year-old woman gradually lost self-confidence, hope, and her means of livelihood. When she came to us for help, she was initially only counting on psychological support and meals for helping at the Children's Home. She was close to despair and depression. Gradually, she began to smile more and more, and looked for the positive aspects in life. She also started thinking about how to start all over again - how to use her previously acquired skills and develop her passions, and then take the risk once again and open a small bakery/confectionery shop for the needs of the local community.
Helenka does not feel strong enough to do it "here and now". She needs to refresh her knowledge and learn how to use it in practice. The practical course we would like to send her to lasts three months and costs approximately PLN 900. To open your own business - in these conditions and in the simplest way possible - we need an additional approx. PLN 1,000. Is it worth it? It's worth helping, because in Helenka's case there is a real chance that her success will contribute to improving the quality of her life! And this is the goal of the projects implemented by the Mission of Love Foundation.

INITIATIVE 4
LILIANKA – SMALL GASTRONOMY EMPLOYEE
Lilianka is a beneficiary of the Mission of Love Foundation. In her everyday life, she fulfills herself as a wife and mother of four children. Like her husband, she is hired only for seasonal work - mainly in the fields of wealthier villagers. She never had the chance to get a career education. She finished primary school. Lilianka's life is very poor. A small house built of a mixture of mud, an outdoor kitchen - a place covered with a piece of corrugated iron and a few stones on which she usually cooks modest meals for his family. It is difficult for the pair to pay school fees and provide their children with decent living conditions. Next January, the youngest daughter will join her three siblings who study at the local primary school. However, then the maintenance costs will increase even further.
Lilianka would like to do something more for her family. She would like to take up paid work. The woman likes cooking and would also like to know how to bake a cake. In the past, she sometimes helped at roadside food outlets, so she has some idea of what it would be like to work in a kitchen. Now, as a wife and mother, she needs very specific support and more practical skills so that she can run a small catering business on her own in the countryside.
The cost of a three-month course is approximately PLN 900. A similar amount will be needed later to help her open a small, local business. Just think, YOU can be part of specific changes in the life of
